This recipe from my nana is over 100 years old and it’s seriously no fail! Best ever recipe!

Salt 2 teaspoons
Instructions:
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 3 tablespoons of white sugar.
Incorporate Shortening: Cut in 1 ¾ cups of shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat 1 egg and mix it with ½ cup of water. Gradually add the egg mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
