Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Assemble the Dumplings
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place a peach quarter at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up. Arrange the dumplings in the prepared dish.
Step 3: Make the Syrup
In a bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
Step 4: Pour & Bake
Pour the syrup evenly over the dumplings. Pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges (not directly on the dough). Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Step 5: Serve
Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, with vanilla ice cream if desired!
Cook’s Notes
- Peaches: Canned peach halves (drained) or thawed frozen peach slices can be substituted.
- Soda: Ginger ale can be used instead of lemon-lime soda.
