Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, Cool Whip, and egg. Stir until just combined. (The dough will be sticky – that’s okay!)
Step 3: Roll in Powdered Sugar
Place powdered sugar in a shallow dish. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough and roll them in the sugar until fully coated.
Step 4: Bake
Place dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and tops are slightly cracked.
Step 5: Cool
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Cook Notes
- Sticky Dough: Don’t worry about the sticky dough; the powdered sugar helps!
- Cake Mix Fun: Use any cake mix flavor you like – lemon, chocolate, strawberry, red velvet – the possibilities are endless!
- Don’t Overbake: These cookies should be soft and chewy. Slightly cracked tops are perfect!
